Henny-Penny laid her first egg. The egg is about 1/2 the size of our Leghorns.

I have one that has laid an egg that size for the last year guess it is's never going to get any bigger.

Henny-Penny is one of my bantam English game hens.

No idea whose they were but one was a large egg and one was a small egg. I'm going to make a hunch it was my two pullets who are approximately 20 weeks old. All this time waiting and one egg was broken and the other is a bantam egg.

Our Katie-Perry gifted us with her first light brown egg next to Cher's, our Leghorn gal.

First ever egg earlier this week. Found it frozen. Not sure if its from an isa brown or the unknown mix we have

My sweet little Roxy started making a nest and snuggling into it this morning!!!

20 minutes later.... Roxy stood up and showed off her very first egg!

At first she seemed very confused, and started pecking it and rolling it around, trying to figure out what kind of weird poop it was... Eventually she ended up running away from it in fear...

Yes, they get bigger. My barred rocks were laying little ones, now not so much.
