If you are interested in a certain breed, post them here. I am working to find someone who would be willing to work with us in shipping eggs from the UK to us here in the U.S. No live chickens will be imported...too expensive...eggs don't have to be quarantined!!

Isn't there still some sort of rules and regulations about getting eggs shipped from overseas? I remember someone on here got shipped eggs from the UK and got a big slap on the hand from some government agency.

No you can get eggs shipped into the US as long as they do not come from counties or Countries that have temporary bans on them and the eggs have the appropriate paper work from the USDA. It is easy but even eggs can be expensive after the purchase fees and the vet fees and the shipping fees.

I would import: Golden Laced Orpingtons, Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons, Lavender Cuckoo Cochin Bantams, Mille Fleur Cochin Bantams, Marsh Daisy, Blue Andalusian and Blue Partridge Brahma, just to name a few

Well, I wouldn't be able to kick in cost wise (probably) until next year (it would just depend).... but, here is my list....

Cream Legbars http://www.creamlegbar.co.uk/

Rhinelanders

oooh ooooh mememememe!!! I want Standard Lavender Orps, mille fleur bantam cochins, and and and... wait I'm all flustered. I'm SERIOUS! I was just talking to my sister last night about this. It would be fantastic if we could "carpool" on this one... c'mon people... if any group ever could, we could!

AMEN to that!!!! The power of numbers!!!!

We could shake up the poultry here in the US a bit

LOL

I would even be interested in creating some kind of , not sure of the proper word for this... but.. trust? .... so that maybe one person could take the eggs and set up a breeding program with the payout of x number of eggs to all who helped foot the cost, etc. What do you think? Instead of splitting the eggs and chicks up all over the states right from the get-go.
