Post your Khaki Campbell Pics

Beautiful!

thanks all, we spent the last year culling out all the yellow billed birds and bad head/neck marking on the drakes.

I remember reading your post a month or so ago about fault characteristics and have read that elsewhere also. My drake is the sole survivor of my first try at keeping ducks and I have a special affinity for him as I cared for him when he was alone and lonely. I don't believe any of my flock have the desired Khaki Campbell colorings and I am not going to try and hatch any of their eggs. Perhaps in the future I will have some truer colored birds and can then contribute to furtherance of the sub-species.

I have a question. Do khakis look like mallards when the mature? They look completely different now as ducklings. Khakis are def larger abs a chocolate brown compared to the mallard black/ yellow markings.

If you go to the posts at the top of this page you can see what adult Khakis look like. Pay particular attention to the photos from CelticOaksFarm to see what true Khaki colors should look like.
