Post your pics!!!! GUINEA FOWL THREAD!!!!!

Finn's Mom :

I am new to guineas as in we just brought home our keets a few hours ago. We've been thinking about it for a while and more so with the explosion of the tick population this spring. We went looking to purchase 4 or 6 to start with but then just couldn't leave the last two behind.

Here's their welcome home photo. I hope to have more soon!
They are all pearls.

Any suggestions as to the kind of house they should have would be welcome. We purchased the coops for our chickens so my husband would really like to try to build something this time around.

my guinea free range during the day and sleep in a tree at night. so i cant help. a little bump here to see if anyone else will see this.

after having mine for a year- what i would do different, make sure they are 'coop' trained- in other words- since yours are little, you keep them in a run with a coop and they learn to sleep in the coop, then at about 3 months you can begin letting them out of the run, but they will know to come back into the coop to sleep- mine roost in a tree at nite, cause i never taught them the coop is home... so i am always worried at nite something will get them- also, they at this age can learn you aren't a threat, handle them alot.... they probably won't ever be tame like chickens, but ours will come up to tell us about their day, and get their treats- they love millet bird seed... hope that helps some- the other things we found is they are much smarter than folks give them credit for- we can spend hours watching them-
