Tonight I saw a cool crescent moon & airplane contrails, I thought it would be nice to snap a few photos.
As the sun set, I noticed I was not the only one admiring it, I had company.
I am behind him, but if you look, you'll see someone else fixated on the setting sun...a male fox sitting there, watching the sun set. We both watched it for about 15 minutes, well he was watching the sunset, I was watching sunset & the little fox as he sat there watching the sun get lower in the sky...then he turned around & looked at me. I snapped another photo of him.
I love nature & wildlife, have spent countless hours over the years drawing, watching & admiring many creatures.
Does anyone else share that feeling?
I'm sure if foxes were ever able to get to my chickens, I'd feel much differently.
Fortunately, I built my birds something that would probably withstand a bear. (We don't have bears here Lol)
This is one of the little stinkers that my idiot neighbor feeds. We've had foxes for years in the fields, mostly keeping a healthy distance. Not anymore...thanks alot neighbor.
Darn...why does he have to be so cute & endearing? It's bad enough he chased moths like a little puppy, making me laugh as I watered plants in August, & he follows me when I walk the dog or walk down the road to the mailbox.
I ask what he's doing, why is he following me? I've never fed him!
He looks up at me & tilts his head as of listening, then sits like a dog.
I must remember, foxes are brats,
foxes & chickens don't mix...is this little dude psychic? Did he ignore my chickens today & decide to be cute because he knows he's been on the shit list lately? I mean a week ago he crapped on my steps! Bad boy!
Oh Mr. Fox
With your little black socks
And your gorgeous bushy tail
You are a handsome male
But you really scare my birds
And you leave so many turds
Well, keep on catching mice
I will try to be nice
