Welcome - I'm a newbie, too! We got our coop two weeks ago and our 7 pullets last week. I've discovered many things since we got our chickens - but two things stand out:

(1) It is fun to simply sit and watch chickens. They're fascinating!

(2) I've got "chicken fever" - can't stop looking at online catalogs and thinking about which breeds I want to order next. Of course I don't have room for more chickens. I'd have to get another coop and run - but that doesn't stop me from thinking about it!

We had planned on getting only 6 pullets. We took our two little granddaughters with us to get them, though. They saw a Ancona and LOVED the black/white spots. So we added an Ancona and ended up with 7 pullets. LOL!

Welcome - I'll look forward to hearing more about your chickens.
