I live in a duplex and have been here for 6 years. Mother and 2 rotten 11-12 year old boys moved in last year. Kids fight, cry, mother screams, house shakes with banging due to the fights (they are bad). And it is constant :barnie I think Mother lost custody of the kids and for the last 6 months she has only had them every other weekend. Trust me when I say that I think the kids are better off with their Father. The mother gives 2 shi*s about anything and thinks that the world is here to do things for her.
She is Very Agressive too if you ever have to talk to her.

Anyway, I have a Koi pond (put in last Spring) and the Hens (got them couple months ago) in the back yard with a make shift reed fence. I tried to make it as best I could to block out the kids view and keep them out. They ran into it in the past and that was an issue. Mother couldn't understand what the problem was even after I explained that it is not a solid fence and they pushed it over and broke it. She said I should put something up better. :smack, YOU put up something, it's your damn kids. I didn't say that I just walked away. Seriously it isn't worth it to try to explain anything to her.

Landlord doesn't care but I asked him if I could put up a solid Vinyl fence like the one that goes across the back of the property (small yard) he said yes. But I am paying for it. :( I didn't have any money to do it before but I do now. Yes I will be taking the fence when I move in 2 years :p
I am SO HAPPY that I am getting it installed TODAY !!! :wee
I have been waiting ALL WEEK for the guy to come. I can't wait ! Once it is up I can get the Shed up and make a Real coop for the girls. PLUS they will be safe from the kids !!! My yard will be nice and not a hodge podge that it is now.

I just hope that she doesn't come outside to say anything. Her kids are here so I am hoping they go out at 10:30 and don't return till noon. Guy is coming at 11, he lives 2 houses down. I try to use Local, small business people ;)

I can't wait and time is ticking by SO SLOW !!!!

Ok thank you for letting me get that out :love 16 Daughter could care less

Wonderful news!! I am so happy for you! there's nothing like a nice secure restful backyard . I'm sure that you'll feel much more comfortable with your pets fish and hens behind a nice solid beautiful fence. now your yard will be more like a Haven .that's great news! can you give us a picture once it's up ?that would be great too. Will the fence be tall enough to actually be a privacy fence? like 16 or so? I think once it's up your daughter will appreciate it ,having a nice quiet private place to sit outside.
Excited for you, ,
Karen

I am sure she will have something to say BUT SHE JUST LEFT WITH THE KIDS !!! WHOOO HOOO :wee

It is a solid 6 foot tall fence, I would have gone higher but then I needed a permit. I will be putting the reed fence back up because the White fence will reflex A LOT. This way it will cut that down. And if I can manage it, I will have it another foot or so taller then the white fence :lau

Here is what was there but I had added more reed fence to it so it was thicker, 6 feet tall. You can see the white back fence, so the new one will be like that but not as tall. That one is 8 or 10 feet CAM03373.jpg

Hey can you tell from this pic if I have Columbian Wayonatts?

Those Wyandottes are pretty birds!

I empathize with you on bratty kids! We lived in suburgatory before we moved to where we are now. The neighborhood kids would torment my dogs. Walking up and down the street barking at them and teasing. To this day one dogs hates anyone going down the street.
So glad you got some privacy fence and hopefully some peace and quiet.
