Posting Pictures

Why all the code stuff for pictures. in a post What happened to Copy and Paste.
All my pics are on my computer. Not stored somewhere else.
Maybe you can explain how this is done. Maybe I'm missing something.

Your computer probably can't host images on the internet, so you need to upload them to a site which hosts images (such as this one) so other people can view them.
