I know this is a site about chickens but I had seen a post about their pbp being sick, I have a pbp as well and today she has become sick, she isn't walking properly, and isn't herself, the only difference that has been made as we put alfala in her crate to keep her warm, we have been trying to litter train her, do u think maybe she has aten some of the litter and this is why she's acting weird? Hopefully someone can help me. Thank you Kelly

I am so sorry about your pig. You can try posted in the "Emergencies, diseases, and Cures" thread or try going to backyardherds.com. It is run by the same people as BYC, but it is more for livestock.

Sorry to hear about your pbp. I hope she is doing better soon. I did a little searching and did not find any prohibition on feeding alfalfa to pbps. Quite the contrary, it is recommended roughage for them.

As recommended before me, please try the backyard herds forum or something more php specific. Best of luck.
