i have raised many pot belly pigs and chickens and ducks.
And horses and cows and yuk sheep.
I don’t mind any questions , if I don’t know the answer, I can probably find it for you.
I have read where people on here say male pot belly’s have tusk.
Well I have raised a lot of pot belly piglet males and never had one with tusk.
Here in Texas the only pigs that have tusk are wild hogs.
We eat those.
But gosh I sure would never want to be caught in the way of one.

Welcome to BYC. Were those piglets born at your place or did you purchase them as weanlings ? Generally 'tusk teeth' removal is performed even on domestic pigs as piglets.
In general, a domestic pig won't grow tusks. They will if allowed to go wild, though!

I have two potbellied pigs, both male, and they do have tusks. Although, their tusks are smaller than a wild boar they do exist and sometimes have to be trimmed back. I've been around many many potbellied pigs and it's normal for males to have tusks. I'm not sure why yours didn't. Perhaps it was their breed? Or they were surgically removed when young?
