I’m a mother of 7, I have 2 cats and 1 dog. I’m a Referral Management Clerk processing referrals for the military community to see specialist on post or in the network. My husband is a Army Vet.


(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I just found this forum.

Welcome to BackYard Chickens! You will enjoy raising chickens, they are very fun and interesting to keep when you raise them the right way! What breeds are you planning on keeping? If you do not know, then it would be useful to take in three most important things: what climate you live in, whether you want breeds that tend to have a more friendly temperament, and what you will keep chickens for (pets, eggs, meat, etc.) I hope you enjoy keeping chickens!
