First, I am more familiar with chickens, and know little about turkeys. But your poult may have a leg bone deformity or a slipped tendon. Slipped tendon may be treated, but most are not treated successfully. Was it walking normally up till now? Can it bend the leg at the joint? Swelling in the joint could be a sign of a sprain or injury, which might heal with rest or by supporting the joint with some tape or vet wrap. Do not get it too tight though.
