Other than game bird starter/chick starter with extra protein like scrambled eggs. What type of snacks are ok to give young poults? Can they have fruit and veggies? How about dairy products. I know they should not be fed things for the outdoors like worms, grass and such. But I would love to give them a little extra in their diet.

Hi,
Our 6- 8 week out poults love to snack on what we give our hens, which is Ramen Noodles(cooked & cooled) very small pieces of bread, their favorite is small bits of American cheese slices!!They'll jump 4'high and try and take the cheese while it's still in the wrapper
p.s. they also love Red & White Millet W/Sunflower Seeds

Mine love grapes. I give them lots of leftovers, even meat and fish. Nothing goes to waste. Good snacks would be yams, cooked or raw grated carrots, greens, watermelon on hot days, any fallen fruits from the orchard or garden. It should not be rotten but it does not have to be top quality either. They don't care.

mine love anything geen out of the garden I think you are suppose to make sure they have grit I supply mine with marble chips
