They are if you don’t clean the coop and brooder enough

Ducks are not stinky and if they are it’s because they are not being taken care of properly. There are no and or ifs about it. I have had ducks for years and they do not smell at all. Not to mention their poop is much less smelly compared to chickens. If you leave them in a dumpy wet mess then it’s the mess that smells not the duck and no livestock should be kept like that. Everyone who visits says they can’t believe how clean my ducks are and that’s because of good animal husbandry.
