What are the issues that they will pass on to their offspring? When I ordered a hatchery assortment, I had two chicks that had beak problems. One had cross beak, the other one had something where the top beak seemed to stop growing altogether and the bottom one kept growing. It was so unattractive that they were rehomed to someone that just wanted pets. Please post more defects that can be passed on to their babies.

I also got birds from a hatchery, and some issues I encountered were fused toes (toes with a web of skin between them like a duck's toes), toes that were unnaturally short or which did not have toenails, and, in the case of silkies, a sixth digit growing out of the fifth toe. Then (and these are more breed-specific defects than detrimental issues) there were defects like weird elongated beaks, vulture hocks, prominent tails, improper size of some of the birds for the breed, and bad type in general.
