is feeding a poultry grower for 9 week old ducks okay?
It’s 16% protein.
They are eating the chick starter still but I feel like I should move to the next step. Would this stuff work?

Oyster shell can be found at most feed stores and TSC. You can feed layer if you want once they start to lay or just use all flock. They oyster shell will give them the calcium.do you have any drakes?
I have two maybe three drakes. But I won’t be keeping them all as I will only have 3 maybe 4 ducks. I’m just not sure what the one is. Lol it looks like the rest of the girls do right now but never speaks.

Then I’d go with the all flock because feeding layer to drake roosters or any male poultry isn’t good for him. It’s hard on their kidneys.
How do you keep the drakes from eating layer feed/oyster shells? My ducks. Haven't started on it yet but I'd have to seperate my Male from his ladies is already trying to be protective of them.

Only way would be to separate them from the females which isn't that easy to do for most of us so we just use all flock and put out oyster shell in a separate container. Drakes don't eat the oyster shell they may taste it at first but that usually all they will do.
