Forgive my lack of maturity.

Serious product - Poultry Pecker. Anyone ever heard of it?

Read about it from Greenfire Farms blog/Twitter and wasn't sure if it was worth spending the money.

Found it on eBay "across the pond", ships here for about $20.

My girls prefer crumbles and of course they are messy sometimes. They "free range" in our 1/3 acre yard during the day, which helps.

Anyone have any opinions on this??

its a spring food holder type thing

get a drum drill a hole and screw that pecker on

then fill with food

as the chickens peck at the spring, food little by little gets released

extra items that can be brought are deer guards or badger spikes

that is a guard that allows chickens to peck it but the deer's, coons, etc. cant

Have you used one of these before? Does it work well? How would it work for turkeys?

I have used something similar. Don't remember the name. It was inexpensive. It had a larger end that stayed inside the hole in the bucket, and a 5 inch pendulum hanging down with a red ball on the end to attract them. They peck at it and the feed drops down. There is one in the UK called a trigger, but I got mine in US. Sorry I can't remember ane.
