Hello all,

The other day I saw a single little white bug on my rooster's face (no other signs on any of the other chickens). Its in the thirties today, and I wanted to clean out my coop. So, I'm going to take out all the shavings, but I'm afraid to scrub with water because it will probably freeze. I bought this Manna Pro Poultry Protector the other day, but I have a few questions.

Do I spray Manna Pro Poultry Protector after all the shavings are gone?
Can I spray the shavings? It says to spray every other day for a week.. does that mean I remove all the shavings every other day?
Do I spray their dirt run as well?
Do I wait for it to dry before replacing the shavings?

Thanks!

Check out some of the threads on mites and lice, I was looking thru those and saw poultry protector mentioned fairly often, I think it can be sprayed on the birds themselves, but double check that. If it can, then I think you would be safe spraying it anywhere you wanted. If you saw the little critter then it is likely a louse, mites are so small they are tough to spot, I had a bunch on my arms once from a wild baby bird and they looked like fine ground pepper that moved.
