Poults & Chicks..... feed?

I have three ten week old poults cohabiting with my hens (all are doing great so far). What do I feed them so they have enough protein while the hens are on a 16% layer feed?

I would make a creep feeder that only the poults can fit under or into. That way they can get the higher protein feed they need. They will never grow if they continue on 16%.

At ten weeks old the poults should be on a turkey or game bird grower which is usually 24% protein.

They should absolutely not be getting layer feed. The 4% calcium in layer feed is too high for poults or even chicks at that age and can cause life shortening kidney problems.

I recommend that you separate the poults from your chickens until they are a minimum of 3 months old.
