Power cut will they be ok

Hi ive had a power cut today for almost 8 hours will my eggs be ok?
Im on day 19 eggs are light sussex.
should i try to candle them again today?

On Day 19, I would not take the eggs out to candle. The eggs will hold temperature for a little while and hopefully it was not enough to affect the eggs. The best thing you can do is leave the incubator closed (so that humidity does not become an issue) and just hope for the best. I wouldn't be surprised if they were just a little later hatching, but not too much.

Thanks for the reply. This was my first attempt i got 6 eggs 5 of them were still good yesterday (day 18) so just got to hope for the best.

Im now on to the start of day 20 and can hear a lot of tapping coming from the eggs so i think they have surrvived so far. How long does this go on before they get through the shell?

It could be another 24 hours. After the first one hatches, it could be 24 to 48 hours more before they all hatch. I have heard of some taking longer, but that is how it generally goes.
