Power cut

Hi all, tomorrow my electricity supply will be cut off for about six hours, will my eggs be done for? They are day 6?

I have put in a request with poer company to provide me with a generator for them but not heard back yet!

They should be alright. Maybe try to insulate the outside of the incubator with a towel or something, being careful not to cut off airflow.

Ok thanks, I'll wrap it up but leave the vent hole uncovered.

It takes a lot longer for the internal egg temp to drop than it does for air temps to drop. Just resist peeking on them.

Here's a clip of some of my eggs hatching after numerous power outages in quite cold conditions. Everything worked out fine even with temperature drops at various stages of development and for quite lengthy periods (much longer than 6 hours) I think they'll be just fine. Delayed a bit perhaps.
