So after a lovely Florida Thunderstorm, my wife calls and tells me that the power out alarm I JUST got from ebay (great deal for 6 bucks delivered) went off. Our GFCI got fried from lightning (thank God it wasn't the incubator) and the temp dropped to 88 degrees F in the incubator. From the time the alarm went off until the time I fixed the problem and the incubator reached 99.6 degrees again was about 1.5 hours. What do you think? I'm obviously going to just wait and see, but I hate thinking that I ruined all 120 lives...

I doubt that it will make any more difference than the temperature drop that you'll see in the summer when a hen leaves the nest to eat and drink. What is your feeling on it?
