Hey reeder,

I want to know that, How much time it takes you to boil the water to you?

I also have a power problem at my home, How much Humidity and How much temperature is required?

Please share your method with me so, i could also be able to do it practically!

A hovabator uses 30-40 watts. An 800KVA UPS should last several hours.

I have a UPS wired to a 23 cell truck battery. It will keep a 300 wat bator running 8 ours no broblem.

My method is only a temporary fix. It didn't take too long to boil the water on the bbq. I am basically just keeping the incubator warm enough until the power comes back on. Not sure how this method would work over a long period if time. I am just keeping the incubator temp at the proper temp. By placing the hot water bag or bottle on top of the incubator and placing blankets on top I am keeping it warm. You have to keep an eye on the temp and hand turn the eggs if using an auto turner.

YOURS WAS A VERY CLEVER FIX.

Dear Reeder,

Thank you very much for giving me your precious time. I just want to use this method for 2 hours daily as i have a power problem of 2 hours.

Can you please tell me that what equipments you used in your incubator? I mean, is there any other things other than Water and Bulb? I request you to please take the pics inside your incubator so that i could actually know that how its works!

You will be so kind to let me know that What was your last batch hatching results with this method like with Boiled Water method also, I know its temporarily fixed method by you but i want to know the exact results which you had before!

It will be a big help for me and i will be very thankful to you if you answer all of queries posted above! I am new in incubating eggs and will do it first time after gathering full knowledge!

Thank you in advance!

My incubator is a Hova bator. Styrofoam box with a see through top. It has a fan built in to circulate the air inside to help even out the heat around all the eggs. That is why I am not sure how long this method would work. I
