Power outage!!!! Need assistance.....

Our power went out last night for 2hrs. I have three incubators running. Eggs are about 12 - 5 - 3 days old. The temp dipped down to 78 deg. Power was back on 2 hrs later and temp climbing. I'm very nervous, does anyone think they will be ok? I plan on candeling in a few days to see progress. Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you kindly

I think they'll be fine. At worst they may be a bit slow hatching, but chances are if they were good to begin with you'll still get a good hatch. Mama hen gets off the nest pretty much every day to do her business and get something to eat. The eggs can handle it.

The one very bad thing happen when power lost is incubator humidity.. Coz your fan will not work and bator humidity will increase. High humidity will always be a big danger after 10 days.. So whenever you lost power, always open bator a little to decrease your humidity.

I lost power two weeks ago for 5 hours, temp dropped to 72 degrees. Our hatch was fine! Good luck!
