Power outage!!!

Well, speaking as someone that has solar panels on the house unless you've got about $50K it won't do you any good.

You can have solar panels which will help with your electric bill for about $25K but if you don't buy the batteries, another $25K, when the power goes out so does the solar.
Are they nickle cadium batterys? whats the the service life of them?

IDK, Mark will know but he's at work. I do know that they don't last that long though. I'm disgusted with the whole thing because it never made financial sense to me. We won't live long enough to even come close to recouping the money we spent on those panels. I hear they don't last forever either.

He keeps thinking that the price of batteries is going to come down but it's still out of this world. So for us with $25K worth of solar panels: power outage = NO POWER!

Oh jeez

Just as I am getting ready for bed my power decided to flicker then die! With an incubator going of eggs.

I am really hoping it’s a short outage but I put towels over them to try and keep more heat in. Now starting the praying for my little egglets.
What day were the eggs on?
Power outage the first week isn't nearly as damaging as the rest of incubation.
