I am seriously upset.
I put my eggs into "lock-down" yesterday morning. This morning at 4am when my truck driver hubby was getting up for work he noticed that the alarm clock was getting dim, then bright so on and so forth. He took a multimeter down in the basement and found we were only getting 68 volts of electricity to the house. He called the electric company and they told him there was a "brown out" where a tree had pulled an electric line down but not snapped it so the electricity was partially ground and we weren't getting fully power. They recommended we shut down the power to the house because it was burning out the motors in our appliances. So my power was out for 9 hours. The temp in the incubator was 76 and the humidity was 43% when I finally got the power back on.
My question is has anybody had the power out for that long and had a good hatch? I quickly candled the eggs and noticed a little movement in them. The incubator is back up to 100 and the humidity is 62%. I do have one egg rocking and rolling in there although I don't hear any peeping yet.
Someone please give me hope, I am very sad.
I also had 13 day 7 eggs in the 'bator too.
