Praise The Lord, happy baby ducky! Who jumps a lot...!

Praise the Lord, our baby ducky hatched and is doing well!!! She (he) is in her brooder as of just now, and she is jumping way higher than we thought baby duckies could jump! Do y’all know if this is typical baby ducky behavior? She hatched alone, and we have a stuffed duck in there with her right now. We have adult ducks, but at the moment she is in there by herself.

oh god, ducklings are serious escape artists. when my muscovy was a duckling, he could jump so high, even out of a large container! he's a huge jumper even now at 2 years old

By any chance is the stuffed (Dead) ducky scaring it? lol!

I suppose that would be scary for a baby ducky!

My Muscovy ducklings I bought both jumped really high and I was surprised that they could. I had them in a huge tote with strong plastic netting covering the top so that they could not escape. They still jump to this day to get at leaves on trees in their pen or any other leaves that are out of reach. They say that they are great climbers also but mine have never done that, just jumped like jumping jacks! lol
