Good luck finding your cat!!
One of ours (my cat, of course) got out at the end of November. He was gone for 47 days. I had already pretty much accepted he was dead. We had extremely low temps, freezing rain and hunting season. I was sitting at my computer around 6 am, which is beside a window and I heard a cat meowing. I looked out and at first I thought it was the neighbors cat due to it being dark out. It looks like ours but has brown/light brown tones, mine is silver and dark gray. I went out on the porch and the cat let me pick it up, the neighbors cat won't let me do that. I brought him in the house and held him up so my son could tell me if I was really holding my cat, I was in shock! I ran upstairs, woke hubby up and said, you will never guess who came home! He had sores on the bottom of both back feet, one ankle bone at the back of his foot must have been broken, it was really swollen yet. I am thinking he either got caught in a small foot trap and a hunter saw him in the woods, freed him and took him home to heal. Its either that, or he got hit by a car and the person took him home. He was gone just over 6 weeks and then shows up right after we had a warmer sunny day. It takes just about that long for a break to heal enough to walk on. It took another month or two for him to fully recover. I am still shocked he came back home. But sooo grateful!
I hope yours finds its way home sooner than 47 days!!
