A family friend and neighbor is a cop with 4 kids. He does allot with his kids- soccer, baseball, hockey he even takes my boy with them once in a while. My dh and he both work for the sheriff's office and he even drives our boy to school allot of days.
On Sunday nite, he was playing hockey at a rink (he is on a recreational team) when he was hit in the face with a hockey puck. It hit just below his eye and he has lost vision for now-the docs say it is bad and have prepared them for that outcome. He was taken to a trauma center and endured a 4 hour surgery. He is home now but goes back to another specialist in the am.
I hate that they have predicted such a terible outcome. If he is blind in one eye, it may end his career. It may not, but that is a hard one to call.
Please pray for him and his family for a full recovery.
