I slept for a looooong time this morning and then had a nap late afternoon.
I think my body needed it. And I can't believe my girls behaved themselves and didn't bother mommy too much and played really well and ate banannas for a snack...
I'm still really tired though even after all that sleep.
Tomorrow my 7 yr. old dd has dress rehearsal for her big ballet/tap recital. And Sunday is the performance. I'll have my mom there to help me, with costume changes...and keeping an eye on my 3 yr. old. Thank Heaven for Grandma's.
Emotionally speaking....yesterday was a doozy and today I still feel the effects but the sting isn't as bad as it was yesterday I guess.
So excited to see the performance but I think it's like Christmas...you're kind of glad when it's done...there's all the prepping and getting ready...such an exciting time...and last year was our first time and oh my gosh it was the neatest thing ever!
The young ones go first and there are several classes. So when one class goes...your in the back dressing your child...then they go and the other goes back and has a costume change...and the classes go to something like preschool and up 5th grade or so but in seperate classes for their abilities....but one combined dance with all of them...that's really cool.
Then late in the afternoon the older kids go. Well, when my child's performance is over...we leave and don't say for the night time routines because the 3 yr. old and 7 yr. old are pretty spent.
There are a few older classes that go in the day and a few single performers...and the older class is a hip hop one so that's fun and the single performers are really artistic and beautiful, makes me want to cry.
Anyway...last year I splurged and got the cd they made so I can watch my little girl dance and also we got to sit down and watch the whole thing...even what happened later that night. I'm going to do that again...it's so worth it. The kids worked so hard all year to do this. It's great.
There...see, something positive to take my mind off the blechy blech.
My sister says I write novels...giggle giggle...ya think?
named bluey and he stepped on my foot and spit, "Patooey." And then dac the old miser
, who thought he was wiser, hit him upside his head with a stick and said, "Fooey."
On the shore sat a fishermom fishing for fish for it was something she wished and along came okiemama with her big pregnant belly and said they were smelly.
So ibpboo took all the little children, chickenboykurt, perfectly polish, justino, and coloredeggfarmer to the beach cuz they thought she was neat but then a big wave came along and took poor pp away.
...and wolfkim laughed.
