I'm prayin for yall, I know first hand how bad it sucks and how scary it is to have someone you love go through junk like that. Glad he's doin better.

Enola,
you and Mike both are in my prayers, as you always have been since I met you! But now Mike needs more of my prayers and I will definitely give more time for him.
May God bless you all!

I am sorry I have not kept you guys updated, but this is the first time I have been on a computer for 4 or 5 days. My phone line got damaged during the last bad weather we had, the phone line has 'been fixed' so they say but there is no dial tone. So, I will be calling them in the morning.............

Mike is home from the hospital, still on cumadin orally, he is eating much better, sleeping much better and gaining weight slowly but surely. He cannot be outside for very long, the heat really bothers him. (We are hoping to be able to see the fireworks on the 4th, but not holding our breaths.) He looks much better and the sleep is much more productive, he sleeps fewer hours per day and doesn't have to force himself to keep going.

He says it sure is nice to be on the "outside" again. I told him if he paid attention to himself, maybe he could stay on the "outside".

Thank you all so much for all the well wishes and prayers. He will be months recovering, but every day is one day closer to when he will be well again.

I can tell he feels better, since he asked me if I "got rid" of any of my chickens while he was in the hospital...... Of course, I didn't, I sell my chickens, give my chickens away, rehome my chickens, butcher my chickens, but NEVER "get rid of " my chickens.

He just doesn't understand..... What a shame !

Unfortunately, Mike is not a chicken person...............

Because of the meds that he takes to subdue his immune system, he cannot be near birds of any type, including chickens..........

But, he likes to look at them, I have to bring them out of the chicken house and he cannot touch them. He thinks the cochin bantams that I got at TSC are real cute !

It was very scarey, that is the second time I have almost lost him. He was hospitalized the first week of May. That was respiratory distress. He scared the respiratory therapist, she was so afraid that we were going to lose him that night.

Every day that we (everyone) wake up and are still above ground is a good day !
