Predator attack

The first night of the attack she was easy to catch and after a night in the Chicken ER she gave me a very wide birth and ultimately I had to let her spend the night in the coop with the rest of the girls. Our present coop isn't designed for easily removing a girl from the perch BUT the next one will be. I caught her this morning with a medium amount of chasing her. She seems to like the warm baths. The rest of the flock doesn't seem interested in her wound and mostly stood face to face and murmured back and forth with her and then walked away.

I don't have any pictures(yet) of Daffodils vent wound healing BUT if she wasn't missing(we trimmed) her fuzzy behind feathers you almost can't see where she was injured. She has healed very well. I think she may be trying to lay...I will try to put the trail cam in the coop to see if she is. She has her normal(I'm telling the world) egg song ish but may be trying to hurry the rest of the girls to lay and get out of the coop lol. THANK YOU all for the awesome advice and support with this predator attack issue...she is one tough bird 🐦 in a good way.

I was finally able to get my hands on her Daffodil, the hen that survived the predator attack and was able to hold her still long enough to get these pictures. She wasn't having any of the bath time so could clean her up today...I think she has had about all of .my handling her she can stand. 20201011_124230.jpg 20201011_124232.jpg 20201011_124241.jpg
