I wanted to take a moment to report that our duck seems to be making a full recovery. I was encouraged by some old posts here, but sometimes threads just end without the conclusion—did the bird survive or not? Duke and his brother Quack are staying in their dog-run during the day and sleeping indoors (bc I’ve been Christmas decorating instead of coop improving 
)—when Duke was well enough to go outside during the day, he started regaining weight immediately. We were able to determine it was a fox attack.
