Predator proofing. I don't get it. Help me out.

Be aware that you will probably not "see" raccoons. I have never "seen" a raccoon around my house either but I have a feeder and a game camera set up 100 yards. from the house and have literally thousands of pictures of raccoons, up to 10 in one pic. After the last rain I noticed coon tracks outside my bedroom window in a puddle but have still never actually seen one.
IMHO Pent had the best suggestion. A LGD is really the way to go. I have just recently found out that there is a Great Pyrenees rescue not far from me and I can't wait to see what they have.

Dogs are my biggest worry because our dogs don't bother the chickens so they are not at all afraid of any dogs. Glad to help.
