Predator question

Hi guys. I lost my ducks to something. I am so angry and heartbroken. The gate pushed out and the latch twisted. I had 2 adult ducks, 4 8 week old Runners and 2 8 week old Cayugas. They were not bloody, didn’t have feathers around, just had some puncture wounds. They were all spread out all over the yard dead. It was between 7 and 9 this morning. Any ideas?

Sounds like a dog... most animals would take them and eat them.

I don't know, you could be right, I've had dog attacks, but it looked like there was a feather factory explosion nearby, it seems weird there were no feathers in the OP's duck pen.

Where are you located? We don't need exact address . Just a general location.

Did they kill allll your birds!
Soooo....
A morning/daytime kill
No mauling/shaking as no feathers scattered
No blood staining

I agree pics of the damage to the latch will help.

Now that I think about it, your right. I have heard similar stories about mink attacks...

Thank you. I live in Central Iowa. Correct. All dead. The chickens are right next to them in the same kind of kennel and it was fine. They are all fine. Correct to all of the above. I’ll get a picture posted when I get back home.
