PREDATORS ABOUND

X2 about building. Except for the netting part. Our critters are a bit different than NM. You need hardware cloth. Weasels, possums, racoons, foxes, Fischer, bobcats, and coyotes will get right through netting.

Just to clarify: the netting is for covering the top of the run. What it does, is keep out the flying predators. At night the birds are securely locked up. Although it's true that raccoons etc. can be active during the day, they would avoid my place like the plague at that time, because I work at home and I am out constantly, in and out of the pens, cleaning pens, watering, giving shots to the goats, milking, etc. etc. I don't expect it to keep out a strong predator; that's not what it's for. Everywhere else save the very top, we have welded wire.

What kind of shots do you have to give the goats? We haven't had to do much except for B when they fell ill. I may need an education in that area :)
