I live in Florida and we have a multitude of predators pretty much the same as other parts of the country with the exception of a few. My birds are well protected. I have dealt with most predators in the past. Lessons learned the hard way. Plan for the best and prepare for the worst. My best defense has been putting electric wires around my coops and pens. Nothing has gotten past them so far and they have been up for years for ground predators. I also have concrete under the gates and good heavy duty netting covering the pens for aerial predators.
