Just curious what is a pop door/what is it for? Is it to let the chickens out of the coop? do you have to have/can you have a ramp or ladder or something from it or on it or whatever so they can get from coop to ground and vice versa or do they just fly in and out or what? Sorry I am new to chickens, never had them and dont have any now

, but want some chickens and hope to get some soon

The pop door is a small door that lets the chicken go from the coop to the pen. It usually has a little ladder so they can walk up and down it.

Here are some older pictures of one of my pop doors which is similar to yours. I have a cord I can pull on to lift the door. The yellow handle in the last pic is what I use to open and close the door without going inside their coop or run. I haven't had any predators try to open it.
