My call duck has been on her nest for 26 days, to my horror this morning there was a big blak bird a raven right next to nest and must ofattacked my girl she is brooding o 9 eggs. We scared d the bird away ,what can we do. We are new to this. Our duck Dotty has been so good only coming off nest twice a day. I don't want to lose everything now being so close to hatching

Is your duck ok? Can you protect the nest at all? A crow or raven will eat the eggs or babies.

Crows or Ravens don't have the habit of eating big birds but will consume eggs or babies, Do you know how it could've flew in?

So sorry about your troubles! I've never have broody birds but my intuition says maybe try moving the nest to a new location? Or maybe put a scare-crow up to keep them away. Sorry I can't be of more help...

Ducks need secure places to sleep at night and to brood their eggs. Can you make a dog kennel or similar box to put over your girl and her nest? She shouldn't be out in the open but I doubt that you would be able to successfully relocate her and the nest. So you need to protect her where she is.
