Black and black mottled, in that order, are my top picks. I also really like silver double laced.(Silver double laced Barnevelder.) And cream spangled (black spangles on a cream background.)

Just out of curiosity, what are y'all proffered colors and patterns of chickens, if you have a preference.
I've added as many options as available, I know there's many more.

It depends on the breed of chicken. Like some colors look good on a silkie for example but then on other breeds i don’t like the color

Silkies, I don't mind being white, it has a nice contrast with their black faces.
