I think my cat is pregnant for the 2nd time this year. Her stomach is the size of a hardball and seems larger each day. Her teats are enlarged a little too. She is 1 1/2 years old. She was half-wild when she was pregnant the first time and we didn't find the kittens in time to protect them from the dogs. She is indoors, tame and safe now. Should I be able to feel the kittens move?

I think the first litter was born about May 1st, We had the only surviver in the house until two weeks ago, when it snuck outside and disappeared. That means that she is somewhere between 4 - 6 weeks.

Since she is indoors now, I would let her on my lap and stroke her belly then leave your hand on her belly, you should be able to feel them if she is pooched out a lot and her teats are enlarged.

I had the same situation I could feel the babies move the closer she got to having them I would say probably about a week before hand I could really feel them kicking. She delivered six healthy kittens on july 7th. I definitely knew she was getting ready because the day she delivered she went from wild cat who only come close to me to eat to a very loving kitty and didnt want me to leave her side. I would say just wait and see. Another wise thing is to not let her back outside after she has them because they can get pregnant the same day they give birth. My momma kitty is scheduled for spay august 25 cause lord knows we dont need no more cats.

I have noticed that she wants to be close to me more and more. She was a wild farmcat before the first litter. After I discovered the kittens, I had to put them in a live animal trap using them as bait to catch the momma. It was unfortunate that the dogs had already destroyed most of them.

Now, she won't even go outside if I put her out, she just turns tail and right back in the house. It isn't for fear of the dogs, they sometimes sneek into the house, and she just ignores them. This is a petite long-haired calico, that I NEVER thought would let me hold her...now she will even follow me into the shower! I think she understands that I will protect her new babies.
