My rabbit is due to have bunnies within the next week.
Her hutch has two separate sections. The smaller side is enclosed but has a door to the outside and access to the main hutch. I was wondering if she needs a nest box or will the smaller enclosed side of the hutch be sufficient?

It looks to me as if she has started a little nest in the small section.

I'm not sure what to do.

If the wire on the bottom is small enough the babies won't fall threw you should be OK. Especially if she has already made the nest.

Thanks Banty,
I didnt want her to go without anything she made need.
She doesnt look pregnant. Is that normal?

The smaller side of the hutch actually has a removable wooden bottom. So nobody can fall thru.

I can't help you with the looks thing. I thought I' finally got my Cali to catch and i just decided she's not. Does she have a broody flap under her chin? If she's making a nest I'm pretty sure she's prego.

The nest has she started pulling our her fur yet and lining the nest with it. My momma didn't even look pregnant the day she had her littler.

She has not pulled any fur yet.
She is not her normal self thou, she grunts at me every time I try to pat her.
We will have to wait and see.

i had a rabbit that didn't pull hair until seconds before she had hers. mine never look prego and you can't tell very well by watching for movement cause there is always movement. i think your setup sounds fine. grouchy is a good sign too.
