Pregnant rabbit questions

Thanks for the help! Here is a picture of her building a nest. This was 2 days ago. Do you think she is close to kindling if she was doing this 2 days ago?

Thanks you all so much for all your help! Nala gave birth to 3 beautiful babies. There was one deformed one, and it was dead, so I removed it from the nest. I will attach images below. Does anyone have any idea what color these kits will be? I am thinking that the 2 with a broken pattern will be blue and the other will be lilac. Also, I was wondering if three is too small a litter for all of them to survive. I have kept them very warm and the,pu are living in the house. The doe seems to be feeding them very well. They are all plump and squirming around. Thanks for all the help! @Bunnylady @Zoomie

Congrats on the litter!

3 is a very reasonable litter for a small breed. As long as you make sure they don't get chilled, they should do fine.

As to color - I think I see light insides to the ears on one of the brokens, so that may be an opal. Considering the color of the parents, lilac would be pretty unlikely - is there any chocolate in the background? Lilac is the dilute of chocolate. I'm thinking your solid baby might be a tort . . . . whatever it is, the colors will become more clear as the fur grows in.

so i recently got five holland lop rabbits. a mother and four babies. the babies were two months old when we got them. there were 3 bucks and two does. the had been in with their mother since birth and have only recently been separated. i suspect the mother is pregnant. she has the thick fur around her neck and is producing milk despite the fact that her babies have been weaned and no longer share a cage. she has been by herself for a couple of weeks now. if she is pregnant i have no way of knowing how far along she is. what are the earliset symptoms of pregnancy that you can tell that are obvious.

If you are absolutely sure that this doe has not been with any other males and her kits are only two months old, the odds of her being pregnant are about the same as those of me winning the lottery - and I don't play. At 8-10 weeks, her offspring are old enough to be annoying, but not yet fertile.

If, in spite of that, you still think she might be pregnant, give her a handful of hay every day and watch to see what she does with it. Most rabbits will play with hay, but the only ones I have ever seen grab it up in big mouthfuls and pile it up in one corner were pregnant does. If you see her doing that, she at least thinks she is pregnant, and probably "due" within a week.
