Human kids can be born several months before they were supposed to, and with medical help, can live long normal healthy lives.
What if a chicken egg, go busted say at day 18 or 19 or so. Is it possible to keep it warm until it wakes up or somehow save the chick, or is it one of those, if it didn't start pipping on it's own, it's not ready and won't make it deals?

I had a broody hen accidentally crush an egg early on day 19. She helped it hatch and the resulting pullet is alive and well and laying eggs now.

Thank you for the reply, it's nice to know there is some chance and it's not just an immediate loss.
