Yesterday would have been day 16, I came home and one of my australorp eggs had hatched, I quickly took out the turner and went into lockdown. This morning which is day 17 i checked on the chick which I left in the bator and it seems to be doing fine. None of the others are rocking or chirping yet so I assume there all on schedule. Temps never got high and I put all of them in at the same time. Also the humidity is still at 50% and I am not going to up it to 60-65% until tomorrow(Day 18). The chick is good and fluffed out so I guess ill just take it out this evening and put it in the brooder. Does everything seem ok or should I do something else? All advice is greatly appreciated.

What was the source of the eggs? Could they be yours that a hen sat on for a few days? Maybe your thermometer is off and it was too hot and this one lived and the others cooked?

I dont think its the thermometer bc I have two on it and there both the same temps within .2 of a degree. The only thing I can figure is maybe I missed the egg in the coop for a couple days

and thats the reason, but i candled them at day 12 and everything looked good. I went ahead and added water to raise the humidity, because really im at like day 17 1/2 so i figured a 1/2 a day of higher humidity would hurt. Im praying the rest are ok
