Hey Y'all,

I am finally ready to pull the trigger on a Premier 1 fence for my chickens. I definitely wants the Poultry Plus version with the closer fence post spacing. I don't know if I need the regular poultry net or the permanet system.

I want to put my chickens over my garden area and other spots in my yard for several weeks at a time.

Additionally, are their chargers high quality? Should I go with the 30, 60, or 120 joule energizer?

I have feed-store netting/energizers and P-1 versions. Both work, but the P-1 are much higher quality. You need to go to their website and call or on-line chat with them about your situation. Let them help you pick something out.

I opted for the 48 inch perma net plus with double stakes. I am able to move the netting around myself but like they suggest it is easier if you have another person helping you. It is heavy but not impossible to do alone. That being said. I do NOT want to move that thing around daily or even weekly. I got the intellishock 60 solar set up. It works great and has great voltage. I have 3 rolls attached and my meter reads 8000 volts. When I first set it up I had only around 4000 volts and at one point I lost all electric to one portion of the fence. After doing some troubleshooting videos I figure out my problem. (low wire touching metal stakes). I fixed it and ever since then. It has been 8000 volts! I would suggest if you plant on rotating or reconfiguring the pens frequently, such as daily or even weekly. You should get the lighter weight. I recently reconfigured my fence and it will probably stay that way for the next several months.
