Am I supposed to do something about the chickens in winter? If so, what do I have to do? They don't have a coop yet and I don't think they'll be getting one anytime soon that's why I'm saying.

Where are you keeping them now? What kind of climate do you live in? In the winter - especially where it gets cold (as in, double digits below zero), chickens need 3 things: 1. Shelter from the elements - a place out of the wind and rain. 2. Fresh water 3. Food. That's pretty much it. A good, thick layer of straw on the floor helps keep them warm, and the coop should be well-ventilated to help excess moisture escape. Frostbite can occur even when it's not that cold out, if there is too much humidity in the coop.

If you cannot provide them with shelter for the winter, I would strongly suggest you find them a new home with someone who can.

The chickens are in Spain so it won't be too cold but it will rain sometimes. Thanks, your answer was very helpful
