Hi

I'm getting ready for three Toulouse (1M/2F) that will be here mid-April, and doing lots of reading (on line and books) on their raising and care. I will be raising 4 x female Cayuga's at the same time.

Wondering if the Mazuri Waterfowl Starter is OK to use for both for the first 3-4 weeks? (I've raised chickens in the past, and also ducklings supplementing with brewers yeast). I want to make sure I'm covering everything here, and Mazuri wasn't an option then. It seems to vary slightly, but I've read they (goslings) need 22% protein in the first 4 weeks, and Mazuri is 20%. Is that sufficient?

Anyone have good experience raising 2-3 days old goslings with Mazuri Waterfowl Starter? Any other supplements needed? Almost looks too good to be true! But, it is pricey...

I use Purina Flockraiser, the Mazuri waterfowl starter is too high of protein for my liking, plus it's way more expensive. But the Mazuri would be a very good feed for the first couple weeks. Just don't feed it too long, goslings need pretty low protein to grow properly.
