Preparing for squab to hatch

Hello to everyone, i have a pigeon egg that will be hatching in a few weeks time and since it has no parents i wanted to know what apparatus should i have and also what food to give when the baby hatches.
I have heard of using a syringe and cutting the front off and putting a ballon with a small hole, so that the young bird can place its beak inside and eat. what food do i have to give as i have read the pigeon milk is vital for a couple of days so how will i substitute for that?

You might try the yolk of an egg for the first 3 to 5 days. Seems like a logical choice. Then gradually add in meat builder pellets dissolved in warm water. Good luck!

I wont have to prepare as my good for nothing hen has failed yet again to hatch !!

None of the eggs she lays are fertile? You may want to try her with a different cockbird.

The eggs are fertile as i candled to make sure but she either breaks, eats or on this occasion hatches the chicks and lets them die somehow other then that she is a great hen apart from rearing up young!!
