Here he is, our Heinz 57 rooster from Craigslist.

Guesses as to ancestry?

I'm sure he is part EE. The other half? Maybe buttercup but I think his comb would be bigger if that were the case.

His comb looks like it was melted from a single into a rose. It's really weird.
He loves to crow at 2 AM. Just to make sure we were asleep.

He's a hatchery quality Ameraucana. They have pea combs, which look like a single comb that has been folded and does not typically have points. He looks like a big boy!

He is big. They advertised him as Ameraucana, but with the yellow legs, I figured he'd be part something else. He doesn't really have muffs either. More like a mane.

my EE x RIR who im sure is a roo at 2 months looks a little like he might grow up to look like that. He has that EE hawk look, shinny green tail feathers and yellow legs. But Im now chicken genetics expert.
